Before you ask

Can I just offer a free dessert for a review?

Google prohibits it. Offering anything free or discounted in exchange for a review counts as fake and misleading content under its rules, which means reviews taken down and a listing at risk. European consumer law is no softer on reviews that do not reflect a real experience. The holder sidesteps both: it gives your guest nothing but a convenient moment, so whatever they write is genuinely theirs, which is also what makes it worth reading.

Does it work on every phone?

On the large majority of phones from the last few years, yes, and on iPhones without turning anything on. Older or unusual devices can miss it, which is why every tray also carries a printed code.

Can I change where it points later?

Yes. The chip points at a link we control for you, so if your listing moves or you want it to point somewhere else, we change it and the trays stay as they are.

How long does it survive service?

The wood is sealed and the chip sits inside it, not under a sticker. There is no battery and nothing to update, so it keeps working for as long as the holder lasts. Normal wiping is fine. It is not a dishwasher item.
